Meet Jeremy Cunningham

After watching “A River Runs Through it,” I knew what I had to do. I bought the cheapest fly-rod outfit I could afford at that time and started out. Fortune found me and the bass at the end of the line affirmed my decision. I was hooked for life.

I grew up on the James River in Appomattox, Virginia. My family had property right on the river and I spent countless days wading, fishing, and learning the river. Currently, I live in Amherst and love to explore all that our waters have to offer. Whether it’s brook trout in the mountains or smallmouth bass on the James, I’m for it.

I love to get other people on the water for an experience they’ll remember. Whether you’re new to fishing or a seasoned pro, I’d be happy to do my part to get you on some fish!

You’ll get a hard-working, passionate, patient guide if you choose to fish with me… I’ll bring all the lunch, gear, and good conversation you’ll need.

My Gear

  • NRS Raft

    For float trips, I use my NRS 14 ft. raft. It can comfortably fit myself and two anglers. I bring a Yeti cooler filled with ice for all of your beverages and lunch. You’ll do the fishing I’ll do the rowing!

  • Fly Rods

    I have quite a few Orvis and TFO rods to choose from depending on what we’re fishing for. I pair them with premium Scientific Anglers fly lines.
